Hi,
For your 3.2 make sure you get the later type kit no 93172354.

I have found that some of the "cheaper" suppliers either don't know or perhaps care to check out the correct part for the 2.6 & 3.2 engines.

The earlier kit can be made to fit, but it doesn't get the top RH idler in the correct position to prevent a harmonic whine that aparently could occur on cambelts on 2.5 or 3.0 engines.

Regards

Roger

thanks once again for any advice, jamesv6cdx whats all that about a free cambelt change which pops up on your posts, and thanks for the offer to use your locking tools :), i would'nt be happy for my mate to use tip-ex as he thinks he is :-X :-X

Not a route to take under any circumstances. Did my old 2.5 after watching Daz on my 2.6 and even with a proper locking kit (cheers Cliff), the DVD and lots of patience it was a challenging task. I have done several other cars before Carltons, clits, my S80 using tippex and counting teeth, I would NEVER do the omega V6 without the kit.  :y

Just checked - it's 70 miles each way, so 140 mile round trip.

£30 of fuel in the 3.2 will cover it - so that's what it'll cost, if you'd like me to come give you a hand.

Just let me know which weekends you're around?  :y

Edited - typo!
