Is it worth checking the number/letters on the front springs, just to be sure they match?
There is usually two didgits to id them printed on, along with a colour code. I.d.ing them with that info... Well... The letters equate to the springs available on trade club web site, not sure if epc works that way though?
I am almost 100% sure any springs will work with sl shocks, so no issue there.... Imo. Some plod cars with sl run differant springs again i believe.
Plus whats the ride hight to wheel arch? From memory Elite is 675mm all round floor to wheel arch, lsc is 15 mill lower than that.
Hth
Cretainly would fit lsc over sl springs any day where poss, but thats just me.
:My ride height on flat level ground is:
660mm front 8-) 690mm rear :-/
Could be self leveling fault. Play with the level arm as guide in maintanance. See if it settles too a lower hight when the arm is lowered so its riding on the springs not the shocks. Also check the car goes up AND down in relation the arm movement.
..... Faaaaaairly sure the ride hight should be the same front and rear for estate and saloon. :-/
Thanks - I'll check it out at the weekend

Ok, just measured mine, saloon, front is 675, rear is 690, so I would expect your rear to be 15 mill lower. Assuming estate is the same of course. :-/
I am thinking now that when the rear springs were changed in 2007 ( for whatever reason) as the car is badged " Elite" - the VX dealer who done the work, has fitted elite springs ( as I have the part no. on the invoice) Where as LSC should have been fitted. This would give the 690 mm rear ride height instead of 675mm ,I presume.

Bottom line is looks like I've got an LSC front & Std Elite rear
