headlight washer problem
« on: 20 March 2011, 15:57:40 »

following on from my earlier windscreen washer problem.

My headlight washer is only working on on the driver's side.
There is no filter/grommit to clean :.(

The nozzle doesn't move forward, and theres's no water in the pipe behind.

questions:
Is there supposed to be a filter grommit on the headlamp wash pump?
Is there any way to clean the pipe without removing and replacing all the crimp-on hose locks  - I'm thinking remove the nozzle, clamp a hosepipe to the nozzle feed pipe, and blast water down it?
Does the nozzle move by water pressure or a motor? because the driver's side nozzle doesn't retract back into the bumper when it's finished spraying.

Is the headlamp washer not working a MOT fail?
