Misfire

Wife used the car to go shopping today and the car is running rough and lumpy  :'( :'(

have done pedal trick and got codes 0300 and 0306
so Rondom misfire and misfire cyl no.6

a bit dark now so will have a look tomorrow any tips on where to start
also are both the dis packs the same so i can swap the sides to check if misfire moves

thanks in advance

may be wrong but mine only has one dis pak and it's a nightmare to get at!

The same codes I've been getting. Likely to be a plug or a coil pack. Mine turned out to be a f*cked coil pack on the 246 bank.

You're wrong.  ;)
Older V6s have a throttle cable & a single DIS pack buried at the back of the engine. Newer drive by wire throttled cars have a coil pack for each side of the car and as already said have no HT leads & just push down onto each bank of plugs.  :y

Yep...this is true. But I currently have a 135 coil pack on the 246 bank . It works perfectly but is a little tricky to fit because it is "other handed".  :y :y

Could be water or oil in the plug wells.
If the cam cover is fubbered oil can collect in the plug wells.
Also water seeping at the scuttle onto the rear of the engine,so check, if water leak a silicone sealer would cure the intrusion :y

Yes. Agreed. Mine had that too. But after I sucked it out with an absorbent cloth it never returned. (touch wood)....... ;)

Update

have taken the coil pack off today and there was a very small amount of oil around the plugs but i mean very small amount

swaped over no.6 and no.2 plug cleaned every thing in sight and still got misfire on no.6

so me deffo thinks my coil pack is fubar does not look in best condition anyway a vew signs of corrosion and small cracks

i just know this is going to cost me a fortune in this part of the world everything does :-[ :-[
