Squeaky pulley or tensioner 2.5td at idle
« on: 21 March 2011, 13:32:49 »

Its driving me mad!  :D

Being a diesel its Camchained up, so i know its something ro do with the AUX belt.
I have no A/C, so thats out,

There's still a few more things it loops itself round, one of which i assume is a tensioner.
I'm not sure which of the wheels it goes around is squeaking, and they are under too much tension normally (and in such an awkward position, to really be able to get a good feel on em to see if they have any play.

Any ideas how to cure it....besides WD40......already tried.....worked for about 20mins......i think

sure its a pulley and not the actual tensioner assembly? they tend to squeak if not greased up where it pivots on its bearing, means removing it the omega way not the bmw way to do it!! :y
