2.2 crank sensor location.

Hi, did several searches but I can't find any advice on where to find the crank sensor on my 2.2. Can anyone help a not too technically minded person?

Under the A/C compressor. If you feel app. 50mm forward where the dipstick tube enters the block you will find the bolt that holds sensor in

Cheers. Does it end up inside the cambelt plastic cover? Local Vx garage parts bloke said it was inside it, bloke at Kwik Fit today said the cable that runs across the top of the cover is the one...

No, the cam sensor is inside the cambelt cover, but the crank sensor isn't.  The cable for the crank sensor does indeed run over the top of the cambelt cover, the Kwik Fit man is right.  :o  :)

Here's a piccy of what Rob was describing, the crank sensor relative to the base of the dipstick tube:

What codes have you got and who advised it was the crank sensor at fault? They do go but unusual on four pot :-/ :-/
