Sunroof not working
« on: 08 April 2011, 16:02:54 »

Having stored the Omega over winter and taken it out for its first run - the sunroof does not work!

The battery is fine. Never having been allowed to go flat.

The Windows still have their auto drop/lift - so no need to hold them for a while to get the memory back.

Same with the roof - tried holding control in the open position but all I get is a few clicks - as if the roof is trying - but no action?????

Any ideas - with the air-con not working I am melting!

Cheers

Andy

I had a similar problem when the battery was removed for some time during my "epic Xmas 2010 changing the bloody head lights sega".

Mine wouldn't work either....SO in desparation pushed the knob IN and held it there for about 30 seconds and it came back to life. Don't know why..it just did.

I had that prob with my sunroof a few weeks ago; in the end i held the button in each of the positions for about ten seconds and it seemed to reprogramme it.

Thanks for the advice :y

I washed the outer edges of the sunroof, where they connect to the roof when shut, to make sure debri had not hardened to form a bond.

The roof has lost its memory - but opened when keeping continuous pressure upon the dial.

I have heavily lubricated the runners etc. and it appears to work - albeit - without the memmory function.

Thanks for the kind help. ::)
