Air Intake

Just a simple question, can I fit an upgrade to my air intake box on my 3.2 Elite, just a thought , Thanks 8-) :y 8-)

Im sure you can.....but you wont get any benefit, it provides more than enough cold air and is very free flowing (providing you have a relatively new, genuine GM (or OE quality) air filter)  beware halfords etc are 1/2 the depth of the proper ones.

Edit : If your thinking of going to an oiled filter, beware they Kill MAF's very easily, and the 3.2 and 2.6 ones are fragile and cost about £100 for a new Bosch one.

If you just want more of a growl, drill some holes in the bottom of the airbox.

Doubt any 'performance' air filter could ever be classed as an upgrade on an Omega.

If its purely for performance, stick with the standard setup and a good quality filter replaced annually.

If its for the sound, I good quality cone, but you'll need to fabricate a quality, insulated system to keep hot air out.
