Sounds like pinking - but only now and again
« on: 11 April 2011, 14:48:16 »

Normally happens-or at least thats when I notice it-under light throttle at the point where the autobox lock-up occurs. It only lasts a couple of seconds.

No codes apart from 135 which I have learnt to ignore as it has a mind of its own.

Other issues which may be relevant are:-

1. Hissing from under breather bridge when cold. recently changed the seals and cleaned breathers, but made no difference.
2. Stutters briefly on tickover then settles down, just at the point where the temp approaches mid scale. ICV recently cleaned, made no difference.
3. Never been able to trigger rear multiram by blipping throttle, though can do so by connecting direct to 12v or unscrewing and rotating TPS.

Would welcome some pointers on where to start looking.
