Rear springs
« on: 08 April 2011, 15:46:19 »

Does anyone know any manufacturer of rear coil springs for an Omega with self levelling. I have looked on here but it only says that it is different to the cars with normal suspension?

Any help and part numbers greatly appreciated

Thanks Jimbob, the price seems a little excessive for a couple of springs :-X

Had a look on the KYB catalogue and there are two different numbers, RJ6226 and RJ 6227. Went onto BuyPartsBy and they only have the one model RJ6226. All a bit confusing. Have sent an email to KYB to see if I can get a definitive answer. Price a lot easier to swallow though 24.11 plus vat as opposed to 300. :y

10% discount of trade club prices on all springs if they are in the tread club program

If you are buying from Buyparts and KYB the part number you require is RJ.6227..thats what went on mine and they are for S/L saloons.

About £80=00 plus delivery.

Thanks for your help guys. I think my s/l shocks have went as well, oil on the outside. Can you replace the s/l shocks for regular shocks?

Yes,but you would be wise disabling the air compressor in the o/s front wheel arch and blocking off the pipework.

If I change to normal shocks would I be able to get the cheaper springs also? Has anybody changed out their self leveling suspension for normal suspension?

No problems with swapping out the S/L springs & shocks, just remember as already stated, disable the S/L pump

Does anyone have any suggestions or recomendations for a good setup of springs and shocks? I think KYB are the springs I will get
