Am not sure wht you mean by Recaro spec - as ALL Omega seats are made by Recaro.

But only some are TRUE Recaro seats  ;)

I have a 97 auto est rusty doors ,Recaro black heated fronts, no airbags.  Dodgy 3rd solenoid make an offer and limp home from Dublin?

iirc, it would NOT be advisable to fit pre-facelift seats into a facelift.

Firstly, as you pointed out, it doesn't have side airbags and would not have active headrests either (please correct me if I'm wrong). In which case he would be seriously undermining ALL the safety features he has now and no doubt his insurance company would be having serious words with him  :-X

I'm old enough AND ugly enough to understand the 'system' and how it all works, so i'm extremely offended that you 'assume' that my insurance company hasn't been notified!!!  ::) I pay my premiums so i may do what i want to my car.

I wasn't "assuming" anything, especially on the point of you not informing your insurance company etc etc. After I posted, I realised I actually meant to have written the word "you" instead of "he". I was trying to make sure that op didn't undermine his safety elements in his car!
There was no intention of personal attack and if that is how it came across to you, I apologise.  You may well know the ups & downs of swopping kit over, but like me at the beginning, did not. I was just trying to be helpful  :y
