gearbox filler bolt

hi just replaced engine in my car. upon assembly i had a leaky gearbox pipe that i have now fixed. the bold that u undo to topup box is rounded to hell. does anybody know a tool i can buy that will fit in the confined space. thanks rick.

I had the same problem, so I filed it down to take the next size spanner. 12mm?

common fault i just use a centre punch and drive it round, easy enough to do but make sure you copperslip the new one before you put it in!! :y

Nope. Permission denied!   ;D


I 'd remove the sump if the ATF needs changing anyway, and drill the head off to fit a replacement  personally. Or what ever other means, mole grips ?  :-/ might mangle it. Depends what you have available tbh. Shaks filing idea sounds good.  :y

thanks wil try the filling option next weekend if that dont work guess its sump off job.   thanks rick. :y

could try irwin bolt removers from machine mart there pretty useful and about £12 for  set would put a link but not good with that sort of thing.
