Plenums, Multiram and AIrintake
« on: 15 April 2011, 21:51:08 »

1)
Is there a way to improve engine plenum on a omega 3.0 v6?
Someone has told me fitting a Saab 3.0v6 Plenum will help increase performance.
(or would a Vectra one be better or any other?)

2)
Also, Would forcing the multi ram to stay open (but clipping it open) increase performance.
or
Would by-passing the Muliram system and connecting the throttle body via a pipe to the air box increase performance?

1) I think you'll find they're the same ;) ;)

2) Don't you think that Vauxhall would have done that to start with if it was better ::) ::)

Indeed... If he wants to make it quicker, start with weight loss ;) ;)

Both the 2.5 Vectra and the 3.2 Vectra have different plenums to their Omega counterparts, though on the Vectra, this is a compromise for space reasons.

raj make up a new direct air flow path like a mantzel resonator , i did to mine made a great difference , alto no one on here will agree with me because they like slow slosshy migs , vauxhall never intended the majority of things that people modify on cars , also cut the cats out of it , another nice gain , also i put on a light weight flywheel and that has made the best difference of all , it revs no bother now up threw all the gears , totally different to drive now much more acceleration out of it , next im going putting the mig on a diet and losin some weight , go for it m8 im sure vauxhall didnt intend what i did but they really should have lol
