« on: 25 April 2011, 17:31:38 »

Going to do a cambelt change tomorrow on the Estate - does't sem like 40K since I last did it!!

Can anyone confirm tensioner setting for new belt as opposed to old belt.  Thanks

3-4 mill past the mark for a new belt.

Thanks guys - seem to remember 4mm past the mark for new belt from somewhere and 1 to 2 mm for used belt.

Cambelt change all done - managed it in just under 3½ hours this time (this is the fourth time I've done one) - so getting better.  Estate is now running better - cams 1 & 2 were slightly retarded - all 4 now spot on.

Another 15K and the saloon will need doing again, buts thats another time  :)
