EBay Omega Elite with ABS problem
« on: 27 January 2008, 14:31:59 »

had to laugh when I looked at this one.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-Vauxhall-Opel-Omega-elite_W0QQitemZ120215821091QQihZ002QQcategoryZ9858QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

"the a.b.s /t.c light has come on on the dash a.b.s module faulty been quoted £100.00 from a omega dealer via the internet this would be avalibe from breakers but need to remove from car first to get part number "

Lets find the dealer and buy our stuff there. Cheaper than with a TC!!

Hope it isn't a forum members car, but I remember the modules being a lot more than that from the dealer.

Looks a nice enough car though no log book would put me off.

It doesn't appear to have rained for a while and he obviously hasn't washed it so what's the puddle of liquid under the passenger side??? :o

condensation on the pipes can run off at that spot if the car's parked on a slight slope, mine used to do it alot, it builds up when you have the heaters on in the car

if you find a puddle, check to make sure it is just water, look for colour and smell, lack of both will be a good thing :y

Another offputting factor is that someone has botched in an aftermarket alarm system. Why bother when it's got an adequate alarm system factory fitted?

Generous tonight aren't we....

The car looks a mess, odd wheels, not even bothered to wash it, lost log book.....what else has he forgotten to do....when was the cam belt changed.....

if that could be picked up for the right money (less than 500) then it would be a good buy....but you would have your work cut out i would think

if i got it for less than £500 then breaking it would be profitable i reckon! (since i'd be way too lazy to get it right!)
