Price of a new back box
« on: 04 May 2011, 19:40:28 »

Evening all,

Having only just got my Omega back from the garage and a bill of £550 I think the exhaust back box is on its way out. I was out in it the other day and when I parked up and walked round the back I found what appeared to be the tail hair from a horse hanging out of the exhaust which I have been told is the silencer material.

So, can anyone tell me what sort of price a back box will be fitted ? can anyone recommend a make ?

I don't want a sporty or noisy one either, it is noisy enough now.

Thanks

Matt

P.S. what sort of money would a Y reg 3.0 ELITE with all the toys and 80k on the clock be worth ? beginning to think I may be coming to the end of my Omega owning experience.

don't know the cost of exhaust, but why sell it after getting lots of work done? To then have to do the same all over again on another 2nd hand unknown. Omegas rule ok?

The dreaded P word ! petrol..

We went to Cornwall at the weekend and it used over £200 worth of petrol. I also have a diesel Pug 306 which I use everyday and it has made me realise just how much the old girl drinks. The thing is it now spends more time on the drive so just trying to work out if it is time to part company.

How much you would get will depend upon its condition, any work that needs doing on it, how much tax/mot...all sorts of things...maybe £300...maybe £1300...if its particularly nice, well looked after etc then with relatively low milage you could get over £2k if you find the right market...
