Is it really that much?  I can quite happile shift one around on the floor without assistance.  I obviously cant pick it up     I was guessing around 140 - 170KG's.

My guess would be to the top end of that range. 160-170 kg. With all ancillaries it'll be a bit more, though.

The engine lift i use lifts 250kg at the position i have it.
It easily lifts out the engine and autobox in one hit. So the engine has to be under 200 kg easy.

An Omega saloon with an engine weighs in at about 1.5 tonnes, with no interior, engine or gearbox its 1.16 tonnes...gearbox with torque converter is 88Kg so 252Kg minus weight of the interior...pretty sure its about 220kg...but that does include the radiator, cats and other bits you would remove the get the engine and box out...

Depends what the floor is I can happily shift 350Kg of iron V8 around on my friends truck bed or his tiled garage floor, but I'd have no hope on my rough concrete garage floor (not that I'd want to, it'd wear through the sump a bit quick )

I'm just about to remove the heads from the spare 2.5 v6 engine I have here... I reckon there to be roughly 60-70 squids worth of scrap recoverable from that engine, in a few hours I should be able to let you know the precise weight!
