miles not counting
« on: 08 May 2011, 22:51:53 »

Hi, is there anyone on here that can tell me why my dash clocks are not counting the miles? Speedo works grand and the trip computer on the MID counts, just not the clocks. Sounds to me like the clocks are bad but i just wanted to double check with you guys before I order a new set.
Thanks :-/

Theres a plastic wheel on the worm gear drive that sometimes splits/strips.  If that fails then everything works except the odo.   :y

Take the dash unit out, turn it over and remove the rear shroud to expose the back of the clocks.  I think.

Got a speedo head unit in the garage but not going out for it this late.  Door makes too much noise!   ;D

If this is a Mini facelift MV6 then I have a number of speedo clusters you could pick from. The lowest mileage is 79k, then 104k, then 112k then 150k.

PM me if interested.

Cheers guys, I need a few bulbs replaced in there anyway so i don't think it will do any harm to go ahead and pull them out to get a look.
Thanks Rob but she is the full facelift ;)
