There are two letters on them - an L and an A (in white paint).
Does this identify them as Elite (softer) springs?

Thanks Jimbob.... :y

Yes, im sure LA are elite self levelling springs (without checking)

Not just me then. LA don't seem to be listed. And the ride hight was defo too high for normal Elite.

Discussed here.  http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1299927296/15  still not sure what they are tbh

Binned them now though.  :)

I had LA marked springs on my 2000 F/L elite.

It seemed too high at the back. As Chris says above  LA ident springs don't seem to be listed .

If it's any help the part no. for those LA springs is on the VX invoice from when they were fitted in 2007 & is 90295666

Of course being fitted by the stealers does not mean the part no. was correct  :o :o :o :o :o

VX state that part no. is for:
"saloon with  auto self levelling" from vin No. 1081185

ON those LA springs my omega was sitting at 690-695mm to wheelarch at the back

Changed mine for an almost new unbranded set that were 40mm shorter & car now sits 15 - 20mm lower at back.

Hope this helps :y :y :y :y

Ahhhhhhaaaa  A part number :

Wait for it.....

90295666 designed for.....

A Senator without self levelling...

An Omega WITH self levelling

Its one of only 2 omega springs listed that doesnt have an Ident (the LA bit)

to me.....that cannot be a compatable mix....surely!

Intersting.....Very interesting.
The cynic says they found a box or 2 of springs, and decided to use em  ;D

Indeed, quite pleased with the servicing mines received, nothing over tight, oil stays oil colored longer than the last car did. Some of the comments on the invoices show they where paying attention... Afict anyway.

But those LA springs ain't right, that's for sure.  :(

What springs did you replace them with?

I have LAs on the rear of my 2003 Elite and it looks high to me but not sure if I can be bothered to do anything about it :-/

Irmscher springs and b4 shocks. But stock kyb would work better over kyb self levelling depending on driving style and comfort expected.

Trade club currently seems to have no springs for omega, so that's them priced out of it. Kyb sl 90-110 depending on supplier/delivery. Vx sl retail £300(ish?)... May as well be £3000....  (sigh)
