Engine bounce
« on: 30 May 2011, 14:09:33 »

2.2 Dti elite 02

On cold start the engine tends to bounce around quite enthusiastically, to the point where i seem to have developed a blowing problem with the exhaust further up towards either the flexible coupling or the manifold.

My question is, what is causing the engine to leap around in the first place, ? , it's bee suggested to me either the engine mounts or a fault on the fuel line !

Any help appreciated, thanks.

sounds like an air leak somewhere, but could be anywhere, try looking at the fuel filter housing and if its not full it could indicate to an air leak somewhere, also may be an idea to change the maff on the air intake to see if that sorts your problem :y
