Headlight washer jet mechanism
« on: 05 June 2011, 23:51:28 »

Hi guys,

My headlight washer mechanisms are leaking and old and not working very well at all. I have checked the pump and its very powerful so the mechnasims are the problem. Can anyone tell me the part number for these and suggest where I can buy a pair from please?

I have the elite model where the mechanisms operate under pressure from the pump and lift out and squirt the fluid onto the lights just so we are all clear.

Thank you all

Pretty sure I have a pair of them in the garage in good working, non leaking order...is it just the bit that attaches to the bottom of the headlight and sticks out when needed??

Hi MutantCav,

Thank you for responding to me. Yes its the mechanism under the headlight that pushes out with the sprayers on the ends when the windscreen washer lever is pulled (when the lights are on) and then the fluid comes through and sprays the lights and then goes back again. Well thats the theory except mine come out and dont spray but leak everywhere they are not supposed to. Ideally I would like a nice working pair of the mechanism's for each side and black plastic sprayers on the ends for each side as well.
Do you have a pair of these MutantCav? If so I would be very excited to speak more on the matter.

I should have said its the mini facelift 1998 Elite model and the plastic sprayers are black.

Thanks

I have indeed got a pair of them here, I dont have the sprayer jets on the end but they would just pull off yours anyway and plug straight onto the ones I have here...pm sent :y
