Engine Trouble
« on: 10 June 2011, 16:54:35 »

Evening all
Just hoping someone will be able to advise me.
The car starts and drives no problem, then when you stop and try starting her she just keeps turning over and over and over.  I am having to push her and bump her off in 2nd.
this is happening more and more frequent now.
Anyone any idea's the problem behind this.
Cheers
Jason

Check for details on the "pedal test" in the forum maintenance section. Then post up codes  :y

Hi Jollie,

My car start from cold perfectly and runs really well. However, hot starts are terrible, particularly if I park facing uphill. My symptoms are the same as yours. I've heard of other people suffering similar and several have put it down to fuel vapourisation. I have thought about lagging the fuel pipes to see if that helps.

I have no codes on my engine.

Struggling to start from hot on v6 engines is regularly down to crank sensor failing...usually puts up a code but not always...
