Power sounder.
« on: 19 June 2011, 14:54:28 »

Using the excellent OOF guide I have disconnected and removed the power sounder.

The noisy little shit "sounded off" for about five minutes before it finally died. Good. :y :y :y

Silence is golden.... :y

Is it possible to disconnect the horn alarm without disabling the horn on the steering wheel?

The horn next to the power sounder is separate to the horn that is activated by the steering wheel controls, disconnecting one wont affect the other.

Too late now, I know, but if you do the final disconnection of the power sounder with the ignition turned on, it generally doesn't go off.

If it does go off, burying it in a bucket of sand damps the sound down.
