That's because there isn't one.
Check the level by removing the plug with the engine running.

If you mean auto GEARBOX dipstick .... there isn't one.

Level is checked with the car level, engine running, cycle through all the positions on the gear selector twice, leave engine running, remove filler bolt.

Fluid should just weep out of filler hole.

Doesnt have one. ;)
Procedure is as follows - drive car for a few miles to ensure ATF is up to temperature.
Manually move gearshift through all possible selections a couple of times (make sure foot on brake pedal for obvious reasons).
Park car on level ground (or up on a ramp would be easier, but it must be level)
Leave engine running, transmission in P position
Remove fill plug from right hand side (when sat in car) of the transmission.
ATF should slowly run out. If it doesnt, top up until it does.
Hope that helps. :y

Must type faster etc......... ::)

ok thanks.  So I take it filler plug is on the side, yeah? What fluid does VX specify? Out of interest, why did they deem it to have one?

The Senator had one, but as the Omega was a much lesser car in every other respect, they decided not to put one on it. :y
