ABS & Traction Light On
« on: 29 June 2011, 18:59:08 »

I recently did some work on the front suspension and had to disconnect one ABS sensor. Couldn't get it off of the hub so just disconnected at the plug. During reassembly I started the car with the sensor still disconnected. When all back together found the lights still on even though the sensor is connected. Does this have to be reset manuallly? Can I do it myself?

Not seen that before. Certainly needs a reader on it I think.

Any chance you damaged the sensor?

Its possible. I did tap it a few times and tried to get a flat blade behind it to lever off but it's not visibly broken in any way.

Check its resistance against the other front one as an indication of whether its faulty or not.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.
