That doesn't look particularly wrong TBH... Actually, it looks very good :y :y

Do you know how to work the Data Recorder function (at the bottom of the screen)?

I'd suggest you make a fully recorded log from start to finish of your journey home (if you can) and email it to me and/or Kevin to have a look through... We might manage to spot something you're missing :-/

It sounds like you are getting an excessive pressure drop to me, but not sure why. Do you know what vaporiser you have fitted?

I haven't got a clue what vaporiser it is unfortunately. I've had a look at it and I can't see any identifying marks on it. Is it possible it's not doing a very good job??

Thanks for offering to have a look through the data  :y I haven't used the record function before, presumably I just press record and then drive off?

Do you have any pictures of your LPG kit layout in your engine bay? I'd just be interested to compare it to mine.

This is the thread from my Saloon conversion.

To record the data, press the "Play" Button before you set off, press the "Record" button to save the file at the end.

Perhaps if you could get a couple of pictures of the vaporiser we might be able to identify it (although that's a long shot!) :-/

It is possible that the rubber diaphragm in the vaporiser is past it's best, but I wouldn't expect that so soon unless it has done a lot of miles on LPG.

The pictures aren't working  :( it could be a problem with the website I don't know. What does the rubber diaphragm in the vaporiser do? The rubber o-ring seals in the old injectors were destroyed so it is a possibility  ::)

I'll definitely record my journey home, how does the data come out will it just be a screen shot? One more question... is the temp. sensor that plumbs into the vaporiser just used to check the temp. for the switchover? Or does it influence the fuelling? As mine could definitely do with replacing. Sorry that was two more  :D

The data will come out as an oscilloscope file. Email it to me (pm incoming with email address ;)) and I'll load it up on my laptop and have a look through to see if I can spot anything untoward :y

Temp sensor just determines switchover... All the fuelling is piggybacked from the existing engine ECU :y

One more thing, best to hit the save button before switching off the engine because it can sometimes have a muppet at the end of the journey ::)

Be ideal if you can do a couple of runs where you get the issues and a couple on petrol so I can look for any differences there too. :y

As per my email...

The Vaporiser pressure is highly unstable, varying from about 0.7 BAR right up to 4 BAR :o :o

Do you get any lag on gearchange? Like it's bogging down?

The Vaporiser diaphragm seems a likely culprit IMO, although I can't be 100% certain, and I'm not convinced that the vap you have fitted is really up to the job either :-/ Has it ever run 100% perfect?

I noticed that when i come off the throttle and the instant mpg goes to 999.9 the vapour pressure shot up - I thought this may be because the fuelling shut off?

No its never run well on lpg but I knew when I bought it that was the case. Yes the gearbox does lag a bit when running on gas it tends to change quite heavily into 2nd gear and it doesn't on petrol. I also get quite a long delay if i'm coasting to a stop and then I put my foot down (such as when i'm approaching a roundabout). I've checked the gearbox oil level and it had a fluid and filter change approx. 10k miles ago and it doesn't behave like that on petrol...

Looks like the vaporiser could be the culprit then? I'm going to have a brand new lpg system soon at this rate!!  ;D

Hmmm... Yes, the pressure "overshoot" is because the fuelling is shut down on over-run but even if there was no lack of power I think you'd still be having issues ;)

I suspect that, taking into account that you've never seen it running right on LPG, the vaporiser is not up to the job ;) Even if it is on paper that doesn't mean it will be in the real world. I'd recommend speaking to the chap who supplies our kits and getting a new Vaporiser and associated vapour phase pipework and filters. It will be a bit of a pain to get it in and you may need to replace/extend the coolant pipes too but the KME Gold we're now running (which has twin Vapour outlets) seems very stable and all the cars I have (so far) seen converted with it run faultlessly. It is a little harder to set up mind ;)

Ok thanks LD. Do you have any idea of the cost of that lot? Would something like this be any good?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LPG-Reducer-Vaporizer-TOMASETTO-ARTIC-power-120HP-240HP-/150620306540?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item2311ab7c6c

A twin outlet one would probably be best so each bank has a feed. My current one has a single outlet and splits off at the filter.

These extra costs are going to delay my styling plans I think  >:(

Read your PM's ;) ;)

Also, you'll need to check whether you have 6mm or 8mm liquid feed pipe before contacting Teilo as if it's 6mm you'll need an adapter or possibly even to replace the rear to front pipe with 8mm

Is it just me or does that sound like a royal PITA?!  :o

It does need to be done though I want it running properly. You realise if I do all of this and it doesn't make a blind bit of difference i'll hold you personally responsible  :D  ;D

No I appreciate your help LD and I agree there is a lot pointing to the vaporiser. I've had a look at your setup pictures and it looks very good, it looks like a more professional setup than mine but that probably isn't saying a lot  ::)

It's actually not that much work... Worth the effort I can assure you, although you might need to ask for a set of Injector nozzles too as they may need to be a bit smaller ;)
