Crankshaft sensor failed. Where does it plug in?
« on: 02 July 2011, 14:28:53 »

Afternoon gents, I need some urgent advice please.
My crankshaft sensor failed yesterday. Mangaed to get the car home and have purchased hopefully the correct part. I can see where it is fixed at the bottom of the engine, but cannot find the plug at the top. I believe it should be somewhere around the HBV. Can anyone give me a more precise pointer.
Much appreciated in advance.

its on the otherside to ther hbv rear right of engine as you look in engine bay, if never been changed before will be clipped to back of engine, there is also a big black  multiplug in the same place so if you find that the cranksensor plug is not too far away  :y

Thanks sooooo much for the posts :y. Routing the new cable was fun or not >:(, depending on patience levels. It all seems to be working ok for now, took the old girl on a test drive to Bracknell and back, all seems good. 8-)

saved the page with the photo, just in case.

Cheers
