auto box light 2.2

hi there can anybody give us some advice please the other day i had the gearbox warning light come on and the symbol with a car and a spanner and the engine warning light the car just lost power but other times i have drove car this dont happen i thought when a warning light comes on it stays on its driving me up the wall now :( :(

You need to find someone with a code reader, and get the codes read.

you could try the 'pedal trick' - details in the maintenance section. This does not work on many 2.2's though.

Either way you need to get codes read, quite possible cam sensor failure, quite common, but need codes  :y

had the same thing,changd the cam sensor all ok now.
