« on: 01 August 2011, 22:14:50 »

hi i have just done a paper clip test  the only faults i get are 19  and 74 which says > Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High.  what does this mean and will it affect the way the car would run. as it runs fine just wondering what it would do thanks in advance rick.

19 is Crank sensor - and the important one of those 2.

Get it changed (with genuine GM) before you breakdown...and yes, it can cause bad running, bad economy, and breakdowns.

Check the MAF connector, reseat it, dont worry until after you crank sensor is sorted, if ti doesnt self remedy

19 often throws erroneous MAF codes, so fix the crank sensor first (and urgently, that will screw you at the worse possible time), then play a wait-and-see on the MAF.

Absolutely no point changing MAF at this time :y

31 is the code for engine not running - which you dont get with a 19 iirc
