What Male Torx Socket do I need?
« on: 04 August 2011, 19:17:37 »

I am giving my car a service on Saturday and after I bought my genuine vauxhall sump plug I realised I need a torx socket. Of which I don't own any. And I want to buy some. What size do I need for my sump plug?

Are you sure it is a Torx? Some are Hex, I would guess at T25, anyone know for sure?  :-/
p.s.  I am assuming you "may" need one for the existing plug, not the new one?

Halfords do a nice little torx set for about £10-15.
The torx bit you need is either T40 or 45  :y

Thanks Daz, and Rob, yes it would have to be about that size, it's a few years since I had one.
