Is no speedo the only fault?

It is quite common for cars with the later '4 channel' ABS to suffer from broken connections inside the ABS ECU.

The ABS ECU provides the speed signal to the speedo as well as controlling the brakes and power steering.

The wheel sensors are located in the front suspension struts and either side of the differential.

They very rarely cause any trouble. The only cases I have read about occurred when people tried to remove a sensor (and destroyed it in the process)
