Having cambelt, water pump, and fresh anti-freeze sorted at my local VX dealer this Friday. After negotiation we agreed on £330. ( Down from £450) Only genuine VX parts will be used and I'll get a stamp in my service book which may be worth a few quid should I need to sell at a later date. A good price I think..
I wanted top spanner man Elite Pete to do the job, but because of the distance involved, and with the cost of petrol so high, it worked out uneconomical.
opti, i normally agree with your posts but this time i dont

i went to VX when my mig was down on power. they changed the SP lead no.5 and it resolved the issue for.....2 days. they charged me £200 (iirc) and then wanted £65 for inspection when i bought it in a week later!!!

i got in touch with daz, i drove all the way from northampton to stoke but it was worth it as i paid a good price FOR A VERY GOOD JOB WELL DONE!!!!
my advice is never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever go to VX and get the pink to do it!!!!!!
