lol! Did you get this sorted? Yes, there are a couple of different solutions, if you want to fit an aftermarket 'single din' standard sized unit, you will require a new surround for the fascia. These should do the business;

(Includes all the removal bits)

(Just the surround)

Just make sure they are the correct colour for omega dash! Is your CCR2006 faulty?

Mmmmm, now don't take this as read because i'm not an expert but a while ago, a friend had what I believed to be a JVC fitted to his vectra and was subsequently compatible with the display. I think also some kenwoods are compatible.

Your best bet on this one would be to visit a Car Audio specialist that fits these units day in day out because they are likely to know what works and what doesn't,. There are also aftermarket looms and leads that plug in are are designed for such a purpose (displays/steering controls) that they should be able to get hold of and advise. Try and support the shop by making a purchase as well, rather than just tapping them for info!

It might also be worth trying some of the other vauxhall forums where owners are more into modifying their cars, fitting uprated sound systems etc. migweb, astrasport, vauxhallownersnetwork to name but a few.

2006's are prone to failing CD changers, if you can sus the problem and can fix (incompatible CDR's are one cause) it would certainly look smarter.

majority of new HU's will keep the display and steering controls if you use the correct adaptor.
www.justkenwood.co.uk have all the bits to fit a Kenwood (obviously) HU.
