Radio upgrade

Hi there, i have just bought a ccrt700 for my cdx, i had the ccr 600, i know i need to change the interior light, also, does any know if i need to change the display, or is there a setting i need to alter as the new radio doesnt display anything when i connect it.

I suspect you need a Tech 2 session.
Your CD changer wont be compatible either, needs to be a different version of firmware.

For a ccr600 to ccrt700 conversion, you need:

headunit
light if using phone
ccrt700 display
cd changer
short length of cable for cellular aerial,
few loom mods.

Possibly tech2 session to enable/disable bose as appropriate.


Why the change of headunit?

Thanks for the info mate, i wanted to upgrade the headunit as i do a lot of driving, so for me it will be more comfortable driving without a bluetooth headset!!!!

I personally find a Nokia bluetooth carkit works well, and a lot less hassle/money to fit, esp if car prewired.  CCRT700 looks a decent enough carphone though (but only voda and o2)
