cdc2 changer wiring issue!
« on: 19 May 2008, 21:13:05 »

Please someone tell me you can help!! Ive been given a cdc2 changer by my friend who has given the remainder of his omega estate to the good lords up above! RIP.... Now can i use this changer with another headunit not fitted to a vauxhall??? My plan was/is to use it with a sony head unit in my works van. I have part of the lead which plugs into the back of the changer but im not sure which wires are which??? There seems to be 12 pins with R. A. IL +bat E1 to name a few. Some have like an upside down T beside them!!!!
Can anybody help? ive searched and googled blaupunkt to little effect!
Cheers
Paul.

ok fair enough. it hasnt cost anything so it can go in the bin!!! What is the prob then??? im sure this was linked to a bose system of some kind as the stereo did pack some nice sound for a standard 11yr old instalation.

Depending on type of CDC2, it will only work with a CCR600/CCR800 or a CCRT700

ive got all the books etc that came with the car when he bought it so not sure on the code. If i cant use it then thats ok. it just niggles me that if its just a case of finding which is + ,Neg, Lspeaker r/speaker etc then i could easily wire it up. Not going to buy one as i have a single head unit now. Just said to him dont drive it into the scrapyard with a changer in the boot......seemed madness!

Those wires are the easy ones - its the control protocol between HU and changer than makes it virtually impossible.
