sat nav update cd ?

hi i have the sat nav in my 2001 elite but i was thinking of updating it as the cd that came with it is 2000.

Is it as simple as buying a cd and putting it in and it will work or is there more to it than that.

I have tried searching on here but i just cant seem to get on with search engine.

i have a ncdc 2013 and the CD says NAVTECH.

i thought there would be lots on ebay but there isnt, is there anywhere i can get one from?

Keep trying on fleabay. I recently picked up a 2007/2008 CD for my NCD2013 Sat Nav from a guy golden.drache for £34.99 + postage. Delivery was quick too!!
