aerial lead ?
« on: 19 June 2008, 22:07:38 »

hi,  in my elite saloon where the loom goes into the boot mounted nav cd unit there is a aerial lead tapped to the wiring. should this be plugged in to the cd unit some where or would it originate from phone aerial mount on roof ? i havent delved to far in to the latter yet. also behind the radio unit (ccrt700) amongst the spagetti wiring i have the radio aerial lead attached to the bottom of the radio but there is also another lead not attached to anything. all a bit long winded but any pointers appreciated
cheers.

The aerial connection in the boot would connect to a GPS unit to support onstar tracking but, this was never fitted in the uk.

The back of the CCRT700 should have the radio aerial connection as normla larger plug) and then a second smaller connection to support the GSM phone function.
