whats the best way to route the aerial?

currenty got box under drivers seat,

Right, easy really mate!  If you have the control box under the 'drivers seat'  ;) ;)  route the aerial lead through under the armrest/centre console then up under the dash to the head unit.  I'm assuming your using the standard Omega headunit?  my headunit has its own aux input so absolutely no degradation in signal, that said, I did try the fm modulator and it works really well imho, just make sure you set the frequency well away from strong fm signals as then you 'may' get some interference.  Hope this helps mate?  :y
