Hello,
I have a very complicated question!
How can I get my Board Computer(BC) data(i.e. consumption, speed, km/ml left...) shown on the CID, without having a Head Unit(HU). The HU was NCDC2013 and details on the BC was changing trough a steering wheel Remote Control(RC) buttons, but now i replaced the HU with 2-DIN PC(personal computer - i'll post pics later) and I can't see details on the BC. Can I just replace my current ???washer knob??? :-/ with one with buttons for the BC on it, or i have to add an instalation or some kind of BC control unit??

Pretty certain that won't work.  I will post up in a few days if these displays do obey the wiper stalk.

Yout may have to swap your GID/CID for a MID, which will allow the stalk to be used.

They do not obey the wiper stalk, the comms for changing the functions comes via the can bus from the radio!

Is there some kind of obd scan tool, which can get the data shown on the BC? I think that the CID can be connected to the PC as a second monitor... take a look at http://www.heiligenbrunner.com/images/auto/astra_h_forum/c_chef_cid/cid_interface_leaflet_with_pricelist_english.pdf

Not sure if OpelScan can get live data off CID, would have thought so.  Real Tech2 can, obviously, but that is not PC based.

Other solution, as I posted earlier, is just replace CID with MID, and put a MID wiper stalk on, then you would still have full BC functions.  I'm assuming the PC has its own display

Opelscan can read live data from all the sensors hence can get the data that would normally be displayed but would be overkill to get the display back. Better to go the MID route and sell me the NCDR and CID!
