So if fitting an aftermarket stereo what do you need to do in order to retain TM functionality?

TM just comes in over standard phone connection.  So you need to provide it with power, and connect up to aux in and telemute.

Easier than that !!

Autoleads PC9-350 allows the trafficmaster to be used with an aftermarket head unit
