Air bag light
« on: 28 October 2008, 19:20:11 »

Hi to all, new to this forum & I've a question already!
I'm about to aquire a '01 3.0 elite from a mate, but it has an airbag fault light that wont reset with Tech2. The fault comes up as 'child seat sensor' on the front passenger seat. Does anyone know if
a) the sensor is unplugged, will the light reset?
b) which is the plug (there are about six under there !)
c) is there any other way, other than replacing the sensor pad.
    (app. £300 from Vx !)

Not sure, as quite a rare option.

Wonder if MDTM or Kevin Wood can check their facelifts and see if its a variant code in SRS ECU?

Pin 39 on the airbag ECU needs connecting to either 12V or 0V(chassis), I would guess at 0V!
