iv read this one tb and it claims it's with the standard cams but think it tricks the maf and rams excessive fuel in.
quite fancy one of these to make the most of the 3.0 cams
*edit- i'd expect at most 15 bhp increase based on remap figures
I would steer clear of anything that claims to "trick" the ECU. A proper chip will replace the map
in the ECU rather than try to trick it from
outside.
Also, remember an engine is not a bonfire. Chucking more fuel in won't give you more output, just poor fuel consumption and knackered cats. The MAF already measures airflow and gives you the
right amount of fuel. It will automatically give you more if you change the cams, and airflow will increase. Tuning chips work mainly by giving a less conservative ignition map, not more fuel.
I wouldn't expect more than 5% more power from a chip change. Not on a naturally aspirated engine, anyway. They are already tuned pretty well as standard these days. 3.0 cams in a 2.5 is apparently a much more worthwhile mod though.
