heated seats
« on: 27 November 2008, 21:05:15 »

they used to work really well - then both stopped at the same time - no led on the switch for both.

i've checked the fues and its fine which would point to a relay but that would not explain why the led stopped working on the switches

Do you have any voltages at the switches?

Are you talking aout the FRONT seats? The rear seats, if heated, are powered via relays, but I'm sure there are no relays for the fronts.

Do they light up if you hold the switch pressed in? Have had switches where they stop 'latching' in that gives similar results. If you hold the switch in does the seat start to warm up?

iirc, there are 2 fuses for the fronts - one thats wired to switches, and other than feeds the heating controller (and heater itself) in each seat?

Any idea where this is situated as my drivers seat heater has never worked, put it down to pad burning out but will check fuses if I can find them :y

if its just 1 seat, most likely the pad - either fuse would knock both seats out.
