Welcome to the forum.

If you've seen this display on another miggy of the same year, model etc, and have a space on yours where it should be, then I'm pretty confident it can be retro-fitted.
Seeing as yours is an Elite there's a fair chance the wiring is already there for it.

Update your profile with car details so folks reading your postings will know whether pre, mini, or Face Lift model and what year etc   :y

Hello and welcome to the forum!

The missing item is the Carin Sat Nav. Have you got a little joystick type knob next to the handbrake? If so it's just been removed!

Anyway, it's not a bad bit of kit as long as you bear in mind it's old and dated! TBH I would just get a stand alone unit instead of going through the hassle of retrofitting. Unless the rest of the kit is there already of course! :y :y

Doesn't mean that it wasn't fitted ;) - seen no end of 2.5 Elites that have had the option fitted. Not to mention those that have been retrofitted, like my 2.5TD Elite ;)

Maybe! But it wouldn't be in the boot anyway. I think I'm right in saying that they're either at on the transmission tunnel at the back  :-? or in the roof at the back on later cars.
Anyway ....... as the question originally asked .....
Q :why do I have a space?
A :Because it wasn't originally asked for and Vauxhall didn't include it as standard!!!

AndyB - I assume by 'space' I think they mean 'nothing', ie not the little pocket, and certainly not the TC switch pack...

your right about estate though, missed that
