Stereo Connection

Is there a way to get to the back of the stereo behind the cage without taking the stereo and centre dash out, on a facelift Omega?!

Ie if you take the centre air vents out or anything can you get down the back??

thanks

Nope. Easy enough to take radio out. Undo 4 small grub screws (hex key) fit double din tools bend slightly out and pull. Don`t "yank" as you`ll probably break the tabs holding fascia on :y

yeah i have the stereo out with dash already, i am putting in a different aerial connector in the back which will not hold into the rear panel of the cage, therefore i need to put the stereo into the cage and have access to the back of the stereo also to push the connector in!, if i do this with the centre dash with stereo in the dash i then cannot screw the dash back in to secure it (hope that makes sense!!)

could not get the stereo cage out from the dash piece, have undone the screw at the back but no luck getting the unit out, any more ideas?

Thanks

Ok, could not remember the access space size.

How about taping it in? Will that hold, unsure if you get bad reception that way. What's the head unit? Aerial model number? - regards

i do tend to find then when fitting an aftermarket headunit.  there not enough space in the back for the wires to go.  so ya end up almost forcing it in to fit.

and now i think i am gonna have similar trouble. i have just bought a double din dvd head unit from slant eye japan,  hope it all fits.
