Steering Wheel Controls
« on: 23 February 2009, 18:11:04 »

I want to take the steering wheel controls off my 97 vectra cdx and fit them to the Omega. Is it possible to change them over without having to remove the steering wheel, and will I need anything apart from the controls?. I've also found that they dont seem to work with the Philips SC804 as I tested the SC804 HU I gt from the scrappy to see if it worked, which it does but the steering wheel controls on the vectra wont work with it, but they work fine with my normal vauxhall stereo.

Pretty certain to need new contact unit, and wiring to HU.

Pretty certain sc804 doesn't have remote control functionality

I`m not aware of a version of SC804 that has steering compatability either.

Do you know which vauxhall headunits will work with steering wheel controls, cd changer and trafficmaster, as I found the Oracle doesn't talk to the sc804 either.

Factory fitted to Omegas?  CAR400, CDR500, CCR600, CCR800, CCRT700. You have facelift I presume so won't cover facelifts

Note, some of the above can be programmed to be compatible or incompatible with remote controls

It's pre-fadelift 1997.
