what's this wire for

HI everyone...im a newbie..with 02 2.6 elite..and love it...while having a look around...found a wire with a black connector lieing in the bottom of front bumper..it runs from another wire which is connected to something inside the bumper..it's got me stumped can't find anything it could fit to...everything on the car works..except the temp gauge......please help

Only thig I can think of is the wire that goes to the outside temp sensor fixed to the front bumper. That's the only wires I found when I replaced my front bumper a while back.

Well, the Outside temp sensor is in the bottom of the front bumper, and as you say your Temperature indication isnt working, id guess thats whats it for :y
