If you ever need Codes for you
« on: 27 February 2009, 17:53:05 »

Head Units or Multi Changers Dave DND is really the Topman.

He has helped me out a couple of times now and both times the Codes have been supplied straight away.

Thanks Dave  :y

Must say, have used DND for three codes over the last couple of years, A Rover, Vauxhall, and the daughters Fiat. (saved me a real earbashing from a lady with no music!!!!)
Every single time, Dave's done the biz, following day, by e-mail.
Each code has been spot on.  Fast, reliable, and HONEST.
More than you can say about a lot of e-bay traders these days.

Cheers Dave, you are a real gent.  :y

I second the sentiments above .... Dave has had my radio in for recode and also did a small repair for me ---- no hesitation at all about recommending him :y

Not had to use Dave DND's services ... but his reputation is good  :y :y :y

However I now have one of my "stupid questions" ....

having clicked the link in Loo-Knees original post, then gone to Vauxhall ... as you do .... how come it would appear that the only radios ever fitted were 2003 or 300  ???

I'm sure there were many others.... 700 and 2013 ring bells ... now where have I seen those before ....   :) :) :) :) :)

CCRT700 is harder to decode I believe, NCDC series (and it's peripherals) use a pairing code so normal decoding techniques cannot be used (although there is a method that can be used  ::) ;))

The "2003, 300 etc as you call them" were often the basic factory fit radios, whilst the CCRTXXX and NCDXXX were specified as very expensive optional extras at the time of build / order.

Some of the more obscure radios fitted, CCRTXXX and NCDXXX etc are physically paired to the car by use of a Tech2 programmer, which cannot interrogate a code once it has been programmed.

Unfortunately, to decode and reset these types of radio is a major undertaking with a very labour intensive stripdown and components having to be removed from the boards. Desoldering 128 pin IC`s takes time and costs money on the CCRT !! and a fairly reliable solution for the NCD is currently being developed by a few of the guys on here

The other radios can often be decoded by serial number or by plugging them into our decoding equipment. There are very few radios that we are unable to decode, and we can offer more solutions than our competitors, as we actually design and build the decode equipment that both the manufacturers and others are using.

If you need a code, give me a yell

Although I have never actually used his services to decode radios, we have exchanged a fair few PMs/emails as part of trying to discover the NCDC type pairing.

I would like to echo the sentiments above, and would highly recommend Dave DND if you have trouble with your radio or Traffic Master coding.

Generally, the carpass will be better option if its the original radio, and the thieving bastards, like the dealer in MK, don't try to charge you £45.

However, if the stereo is no the original, then getting it decoded is your only options.
