Brake Light Switch
« on: 20 March 2009, 20:43:44 »

A bit of a strange one this... The brake lights are intermittently not working, although it is still switching the cruise off! So I was going to take it off and try giving the internals a clean with switch cleaner but I can't get the bloody thing off! I assume it just twists out of the bracket?

2 'prongs' to depress either side to release it.

It is keyed, so only goes in one way.

Very easy to break one of the prongs off so it doesnt stay back in place  :'(

Thanks Jimbob... Being a little on the tall side I find it very hard to get my head low enough to see in there so have to do it by feel!

I will probably replace mine too TBH... Gotta ring Andyc and arrange some parts to collect next week anyway so I'll add one to the shopping list!
