[size=12]Okay, just so you guys know where we're coming from

Just over 2 years ago I did a mad thing and bought an Ariel Atom! At my age (53 then) you'd have thought I would have known better! Anyway, 2 years on and I'm still loving it

My partner Angie has a Zafira.
Prior to buying the Atom I joined the 'owner's club' just to get some help in spec'ing the car - if you can call it that! At this time there weren't many members on the Atomclub forum but it became clear there was a demand for Atom clothing - T-shirts, polo shirts, hats etc; etc.
Angie my partner works like a slave for M&S for crap pay! One of her hobbies is sewing - you know, darning my socks and pants and all that

We thought there might be an opportunity to start a little embroidery business to fill the need for Atom clothing so to cut a long story short, we spent a fortune on an industrial embroidery machine and started producing hats, T-shirts, polo shirts and the like.
The learning curve for me especially, was huge! For the last two years and a bit, I've been learning the art of digitizing and producing patterns while Angie has been learning to use the machine. We're just planning to purchase a 2nd machine.
We knew we had to be different from the big boys out there and so we differ from them in several areas.
1. We will accept orders for ONE item.
2. We manually produce all our own patterns and get it right before we stitch.
3. We don't charge any setup fee or charge for producing the patterns.
4. We operate from our conservatory in our house.
5. We both enjoy doing it.
What all this means is that we can take on work that most won't and we take pride in what we produce. Most of our work comes by way of recommendation from satisfied customers.
Because I have a passion for cars, I really enjoy designing patterns for this market. Of course embroidery alone doesn't suit all requirements so we've also started doing decals and iron on cotton etc.
Our main aim is to get Angie out of her crap job at M&S so she can devote her time to embroidery and actually enjoy her days

So there you have it.
Cheers
